PCBA QUOTATION

PCBA RFQ: Request a PCB Assembly Quote

Start with your application, quantity and target date. Gerber and BOM files are optional.

We’ll review the build scope and identify any missing information before firm pricing.

How we review your request
Quote principles

Confirm the requirements behind your quote.

The quotation should state the included work, assumptions and exclusions that affect price and lead time.

01 Scope

Clarify the RFQ package

Gerber or ODB++, BOM, centroid, drawings, quantities, standards, and test requirements are reviewed together.

02 Risk

Confirm component sourcing requirements

Specify approved manufacturers, substitution restrictions and any customer-supplied parts. Availability, lifecycle status and lead times need review before procurement.

03 Build

Define process and test

Identify the assembly processes and any coating, programming or box-build work required. Provide inspection criteria, test procedures and acceptance limits for the quotation.

04 Release

Agree the delivery records

List the inspection, test and traceability records you need. Agree their format, product labels, packaging and shipping terms in the order scope.

RFQ checklist and file preparation

PCB Assembly RFQ Checklist

Prepare your files with the PCB assembly quote package checklist. If delivery records are part of acceptance, use the PCBA traceability field template and guide to specify the required fields and export format.

Send the available revision of each file and mark missing items as pending. Include the quantity, destination, target date, and who will approve material substitutions and test limits. The engineering review will identify what must be resolved before a quotation can be confirmed.

  • Gerber or ODB++, stack-up, copper weight, finish, and panel notes
  • BOM with manufacturer part numbers, alternates, AVL, and no-substitute lines
  • Pick-and-place data, assembly drawings, polarity notes, and side information
  • Quantity breaks, forecast, target delivery date, destination, and Incoterm
  • AOI, X-ray, ICT/FCT, firmware, coating, box build, and record requirements

Send your available files and requirements.

Send the files you have—even if the package is incomplete. We will review the available information and identify questions about scope, sourcing and testing before confirming a quotation.

What to include in your PCBA RFQ

You can send an RFQ with only a short description, quantity and target date. The more of the following you include, the faster we can move from a budget estimate to firm pricing:

  • Gerber files (RS-274X) with board outline, drill files and a layer stack-up note.
  • BOM in Excel or CSV with manufacturer part numbers, quantities per board, reference designators and any approved alternates.
  • Pick-and-place (centroid) file for SMT programming.
  • Assembly drawing showing polarity, special processes (conformal coating, press-fit, potting) and do-not-populate parts.
  • Quantity and schedule: prototype, pilot and expected annual volume, plus your target delivery date.
  • Test requirements: identify any AOI, X-ray, ICT, functional test or firmware programming requirements for engineering review; coverage and availability are confirmed for your project.

Not sure your package is complete? Use our PCB assembly RFQ guide for buyers, or check your layers first in the free online Gerber viewer.

How we prepare your quotation

An engineer reviews every RFQ and replies within one business day. We confirm the build scope, flag missing or ambiguous data, and check BOM availability before firm pricing. A typical PCBA quotation separates PCB fabrication, components, SMT and through-hole assembly, testing and packaging, so you can see where the cost sits and which choices change it.

Turnkey or consigned builds

For turnkey PCB assembly we source the PCB and components and assemble on our Siemens SMT lines in Dongguan. For consigned builds you supply some or all parts. Both options are available from prototype quantities through mass production, and for products that need enclosures and final test we also quote box build assembly.

Confidentiality

We can sign an NDA before you share sensitive design files. Files are used only to prepare your quotation and build.
