USB-C charging and battery protection feed an MCU, display, DC/DC stage, vibration-motor output, and heater switch; a skin-side NTC closes the thermal loop and gates fault shutdown.

- Control skin-side temperature despite fit, ambient, and heater-resistance variation.
- Handle simultaneous cold-heater and motor startup without brownout or connector overheating.
- Detect NTC detachment or a shorted heater switch before a local hot spot develops.
Validation plan

- Map multi-point skin-side heat-up time, steady-state temperature, uniformity, and overshoot.
- Simulate NTC open, short, and detachment plus heater-switch short, low battery, and abnormal USB input.
- Run motor-start, charge-use policy, sweat, harness-flex, button, and repeated thermal-cycle tests.
