From first enquiry to repeat orders

Start with your project.
Agree the work together.

Bring a product brief or an existing design. We help define the materials, engineering, assembly, testing and delivery work your project needs, with the scope recorded before work begins.

01 / Choose your route

What do you have today?

A design to manufacture

Share the application, quantity and target date. Gerber or ODB++, BOM, placement files, drawings and test requirements help define the build. You can start a conversation before every file is ready.

Prepare a manufacturing enquiry →

A product to develop

Share the intended function, reference product, constraints and work you need. Start with a non-confidential brief. Product definition, design, prototypes and manufacturing handoff are quoted against an agreed development scope.

See development services and deliverables →

For sensitive design files, request an NDA and agree the exchange method before sharing them.

02 / Understand the quotation

A useful quote starts with a common scope.

An initial response identifies the work and missing information. Firm pricing follows review of the released files, material availability, process route and acceptance requirements. An enquiry response is not the same as a completed quotation.

ItemWhat to define
PCB and componentsBoard specification, exact part numbers, approved alternatives, purchasing responsibilities and material availability.
Assembly and integrationSMT, through-hole work, programming, coating, wiring, enclosure assembly and packing included in the order.
One-time chargesStencil, setup, programming and fixture work, with any repeat-order or revision-dependent charges identified.
Inspection and testingMethods, coverage, fixtures, pass/fail criteria and records to accompany the build.
Quantity and scheduleFirst lot, repeat requirements, material and file readiness, approval checkpoints and agreed delivery dates.
Commercial termsPayment, quote validity, packing, shipment terms, destination and any exclusions.

03 / Keep the build consistent

Materials, revisions and approvals.

Choose who supplies each item

Turnkey, partial-turnkey and customer-supplied builds can use different responsibilities by BOM line. Define the parts you supply, the parts we procure, approved sources and who can approve substitutions.

Agree how surplus material is handled

Record ownership, receiving checks, setup allowances, shortages, storage and the return, retention or disposal of unused material. Confirm any related charges before purchasing or sending a kit.

Use one released revision

Identify the approved PCB, BOM, placement, drawings, firmware and test versions. Changes after approval need a recorded decision and a review of their effect on price, materials and schedule.

Prepare repeat orders

State whether the design, quantities, material choices, firmware, fixtures or packing have changed. Refer to the previous order and revision so the new scope can be compared with the earlier build.

04 / Define the handoff

Agree what arrives with the boards.

Identify the inspection, functional-test, programming, traceability and packing records needed for acceptance. Methods and records depend on the approved project scope.

  1. Review first-article requirements

Define which checks and records require approval before the rest of the lot proceeds, and identify the person responsible for that decision.

  2. Confirm the shipment package

Align product labels, serial or lot references, ESD protection, accessories, destination and the agreed shipping terms.

  3. Check delivered items

Use the agreed acceptance criteria and document list when checking the received assemblies and identifying any discrepancy.

  4. Report an issue with context

Contact your project contact with the order reference, board revision, affected quantity, serial or lot information, photos and observed symptoms. Agree the investigation and next action for that order.

Before you send the first enquiry.

Can I start without a full Gerber and BOM package?

Yes. Start with the product, quantity and target date. We identify missing inputs before confirming a manufacturing quotation. For product development, share a non-confidential brief and your current starting point.

Is there one minimum quantity or lead time for every project?

Project acceptance and timing depend on the board, materials, build purpose, test preparation and available production schedule. State your required quantity and date so these conditions can be reviewed.

Are testing and programming included automatically?

Include the required operations, firmware, coverage and results in the enquiry. The quotation identifies the agreed work, fixtures, responsibilities and charges.

Who owns the design files from a development project?

The agreed project IP and deliverables transfer after full payment under the development scope and IP schedule. Pre-existing know-how and third-party assets retain their stated terms. The agreed manufacturing package can support transfer to another manufacturer.

Where can I see previous customer work?

Read the power-bank project and refrigerator project for the development scope and published engineering drawings.

Tell us where your project stands.

Include your application, current stage, required work, quantity and target date. Share files when available.
